- The Friendship Bloom Power has like the Bloom Spin a very sticky top rubber, but designed much faster.
- The medium-hard sponge (hardness again about 45 degrees) even has a pretty good built-in speed glue effect.
The medium-hard sponge (hardness again about 45 degrees) even has a pretty good built-in speed glue effect, so that the Bloom Power in the points tempo and catapult effect with comparable stickiness also exceeds the Battle II. He remains, however, a cover for a more table-like game with shorter arm movements.
Overall, the feel is not significantly different than many other sticky rubbers from Friendship, but just with a little more spin + speed. Players who have previously played coverings such as the Friendship 729-08, the Battle II, or even coverings by Tuttle, such as the 2018 VIP, will be delighted with this rubber.
So this pad is particularly well suited for players who raise their offensive game rather close to the table with shorter arm movements - in this style of playing the strengths of the sticky surface are best revealed.
For players with a more European style of play, the Bloom Power, however, is especially suitable as a backhand pad for a punchy counter and block game with more frequent topspins. For forehand topspins from the half distance with longer arm movements, however, there are better coverings also from China.
Positive is in any case, that with the Bloom Power even in 2.2 mm still safe and toxic Unterschnittbälle are possible.
Due to its slightly above average weight, this pad should preferably be combined with slightly lighter woods.
Previously, other brands were leaders in the highly sticky and very fast offensive coatings. In our opinion, the Bloom Power is not only as good as the best rubbers of other brands from China, but has a lot more to offer - a little more speed and more speed glue effect, but above all a better quality. It is also particularly noteworthy that the coating is not "factory-tuned" - the speed-glue effect is firmly installed and therefore more durable.
